How to Start an successful Online Business For Home

How to Start online small businesses? It’s a good question, and I don’t know how you can answer it. And if a lot of people are writing articles about the same, you still have lots of questions left. So here’s my story to help a little bit.

We need some things:

For us to start creating our website or blog, we need:

The website will be open to everyone who wants to see what we do

The logo that is easy to create and to use with the text in front of your name – such as “We sell flowers at our stores”, “Our flower delivery services” etc.

The layout looks professional and to use well on different devices

The social media pages and so on

The product descriptions to tell those who want to buy from us

The photos of the products and any other available for customers to see

We need money as well since we will need money to provide a domain, hosting, and a website to help us reach more people. There are also ads.

With this, it’s not enough to just create something to show. You need to find out everything. Don’t worry about making money while staying free of having to think you should do everything yourself first. If you think you are too lazy to get going you can always go down this route of selling items by offering them via Amazon (I do it myself with most of my products), but I think, especially when starting up, there are a lot of other options that would work better for beginners.

So let’s look at the options.

Open source projects

You can choose one of the many open-source projects already out there. If you want to, you can download their code and install it from GitHub for instance and make changes to it and you will do all the hard work for yourself. The easiest way to do it is to clone a git repo and copy its files, which are in C++ so they don’t take a lot of effort, and to add a few lines of C++ code on top, then commit it, follow instructions, and then push the new version.

It doesn’t require coding skills. As long as you know C++ and the language used, then it’ll be fine. A basic template library would be nice, but I don’t think it’s needed for every project. For example, you might want to create a plugin for WordPress, a game for Steam, an app for Facebook, and a desktop client for Android. All you need to know and then it’ll be as easy as pie as it goes.

If you need some technical knowledge, you can learn how to write it yourself or just study one of the guides. Just search for a particular topic on Google and it can give very clear answers to the questions you have for example https://github.com/apachefoundation/apache-commons-for-windows or https://github.com/pjsc/apache-commons-for-windows.

You can find a great demo at this link.

Web 2.0

abdulha.com

If you like blogging, then you can choose web 2.0. To create and design your website from your account, open Pycharm, create a virtual environment, and run Python 2.7. Everything is done by default inside Pycharm. But there are only three options in web2.0; Open source project, web-based software, and proprietary software. If you choose the third option, you pay a monthly license fee instead of putting it free.

There are two ways to decide between these:

The number of features needed for each application The popularity of that application

In terms of tools, there are also cloud hosting’s such as GitHub Pages and others like WordPress. For instance, you can use both WordPress and Blogger for your blog site and choose what kind of framework you want for it. I personally just chose Python3. This has had no trouble for me.

Social media

To have a solid presence on social media, a decent platform is important. We could choose some nice ones like Social Media Manager, Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram Ads Manager, and so on. Just install them and select the ones you like best and keep them up to date.

You can search for some tutorials and examples that will teach you to create a page, then you can upload it on your profile and make comments on posts. Then you can promote this page and earn a few bucks. Or you can even post it on various social networks to spread the word about your company. Either way, it pays to have an active social media account and to follow the rules and codes well.

You can go to YouTube to watch some video tutorials and learn about how to make videos on HTML and CSS but you can also use Adobe Creative Suite to build web pages. They have free classes that you can use. With Adsense, I prefer using Google Adsense as I think it’s easier to manage and it has paid subscriptions.

So the main goal for these platforms is to reach as much of people as possible.

Website builder

If you are looking to create your site, maybe you have heard of the popular platform known as HTML5. That’s the right platform for those of us still not familiar with WordPress. Not only that but you can use that website builder tool and create everything from your home. Yes, it’s not the whole programming experience but it’s worth it as it is really easy and efficient.

To have it up and running, just register for one of the accounts and signup your email. It takes a while as everything has to be signed up but it will be ready in a couple of days.

This website builder gives you the ability to customize the theme of your page. By choosing what colors, shapes, sizes, and styles you want to use, you can design anything you want. So you can change the background, change the style, change the images, whatever is necessary.

But let’s say you don’t know how to code, where do you take them? Let’s take a look at several resources that can help you on your way. There are several online courses and books for creating websites, but the biggest advantage is you don’t know everything when you start. But if you look it up and choose a course and a book, then yes you can.

Now that you have everything you need. Start working and go to sleep.
